Software performance is critical to banks. A flagship analytic tool at the US division of a large investment bank wasn’t performing to the standard required by its bond traders, analysts and external clients. The user interface was proving unresponsive and it was lacking key features required by clients.
Work Undertaken by Scott Logic
Scott Logic had already developed charting tools for the European division and, using its experience of highly interactive web-based applications, was able to build upon these existing solutions. By turning a European solution into a global solution, Scott Logic saved the client the expense of developing a solution from scratch, and, by transferring knowledge to the US team, also enabled them to independently support the new tool.
Our clients now benefit from a richer and more interactive user interface, which is more in-line with the other tools used across the company. The re-use approach employed by Scott Logic, saved our client immense time and effort.
