Five outstanding students from Heriot-Watt’s Computer Science undergraduate programme attended a reception at Scott Logic’s Edinburgh offices to receive their prizes in Scott Logic’s Excellence in Computer Science Awards programme. The programme rewards the top performing Computer Science 3rd year undergraduates at Heriot-Watt University.
The winning student, Steven Shiells, received £200 with four runners-up (Stephen Montgomery, Valerie Gibson, Drew Forster, David Dunsmore) each winning £100. In addition, each student received a fast-track application form which guarantees them an interview at Scott Logic and a personalised glass award hand-made by The National Glass Centre, Sunderland.
Simon Foley, Head of Development, Scotland, commented “It was fantastic to meet our five prize winners and to show them what we do here at Scott Logic. Developing local talent is critical to our Scottish business and we are committed to further developing our links with Heriot-Watt and the rest of the Scottish academic community.”
