
Head of Development, Scotland
Experience
Simon has 17 years experience in technical and senior management roles within financial services IT. Starting his career as a graduate at Logica, Simon worked in a number of investment banking-related organisations in the City of London as a software developer and architect including Lombard Risk Systems, UBS and Thomson Financial. He moved into team leadership in the late 1990s and by 2002 was Chief Technology Officer at Digiterre Ltd, a financial technology consultancy. Moving back to Scotland in 2004, Simon joined Scottish Widows as a project manager and progressed towards managing some of the largest and most complex IT change programmes for the e-commerce, pensions and savings/investments business lines. Simon joined Scott Logic as Head of Development, Scotland in February 2010.
Simon holds a BEng (Hons) in Information Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and an MBA (with Distinction) from Warwick Business School.
Role
As Head of Development, Simon is responsible for all aspects of running and growing the Scott Logic business in Scotland.
