Graham
Developer, Edinburgh
I joined Scott Logic in September 2006 after graduating from Durham University, where I read Computer Science. What had initially attracted me to Scott Logic was the prospect of working with a group of very intelligent people and of being regularly challenged both technically and personally - I was not disappointed.
My role in the company has developed significantly since those early days. Initially I was involved with some smaller-scale, client-facing projects before moving onto a period of internal research work. Subsequently my responsibilities shifted to include the extension and maintenance of several larger-scale client projects, whilst maintaining involvement in internal research. I have used new technologies both during research and client work, thereby ensuring an ongoing freshness in projects.
In June 2007 I moved from the Newcastle office to the newly opened Edinburgh office for personal reasons. Despite the move, there were no significant changes to my work. This was due to the nature of our setup with clients and between offices. Although the two offices are physically very different, the Scott Logic feel and mentality in each is identical.
