Hi Dan, Sorry - no, I am not aware of an active project pursuing CSS-style selectors for WPF.

None of the external links work right now. Both google code and codeplex have no ironcss. :(

Has this kind of thing been done somewhere? Is there still an active project?

@Andy,

Hi - glad you liked it. To be honest I haven't done anything else with this idea, I rarely have time to create fully-fledged projects / libraries! However, someone has adopted the idea and appears to be developing it under the project name of IronCSS: http://code.google.com/p/ironcss/

Regards, Colin E.

What is the status of this proposal?

I can't find much trace of subsequent work but thee original idea seems well worth pursuing.

Regards

Colin,
I've recognized your work as prior art of IronCSS project currently hosted at http://code.google.com/p/ironcss/. I am commenting about it here just to rise your potential interest to that project.

Thanks for sharing this work!

I also think about it.
Bust just only a elephant solution, and I think it least a month.
The better way is xslt doing it, like more MS direction 'movement'.
Vs2010 maybe resolve.

Colin,
Thanks for your answer; I'd be very interested in building/helping you with the text-parsing ("xamlcss files") as I described, I just lack some available time...

For your problem with the dynamically added controls, I hope you'll find your answers soon. I believe (from my intuition mostly) that WPF has some way to tell you the tree has been updated, and as such you could reapply the styles. Anyway, I definitely believe the WPF Disciples will be able to help you much more with this.

Good luck and thanks!
