We are looking for the best graduates in the UK to join our offices in Bristol, Edinburgh and Newcastle. Here’s your chance to join a fast growing company working for the biggest names in global finance. If you’re up for the challenge, we look forward to hearing from you.
Scott Logic provides the very best in bespoke financial software for leading international financial institutions. We offer a rare opportunity outside London for this type of work. You will help build complex business-critical systems, ranging from sophisticated graphical research analysis tools through to back-office settlement platforms. You will use cutting-edge technologies whether it’s developing rich internet applications, mobile application or robust service-oriented systems.
We have the feel of a small and friendly company, where personal contribution is valued and team work encouraged. We have a flat, informal operating structure and our people enjoy a level of autonomy that’s unusual in this sector. We can give you the opportunity to work directly with clients and get involved in full life-cycle development.
You will be joining a team made up of very smart people from a wide range of backgrounds in the software industry, finance and academia. Over two thirds of our team hold first class degrees, and a third have PhDs. More than a few joined as graduates like you, building successful careers with us.
We understand how critical our people are to the success of the company, and work hard to provide the best work environment. We appreciate you probably aren’t looking for a job for life right now, but Scott Logic is certainly somewhere you can forge a long-term career if you wish, with ample opportunity to progress and learn from others. We will give you plenty of freedom and allow you to shine.
At Scott Logic we aim to get the work-life balance right. The work is demanding but that doesn’t mean you should have to work all hours. We enjoy great city-centre locations in Bristol, Edinburgh, and Newcastle Upon Tyne, cities that have lots to offer. From our three development centres we are able to work on high-tech financial projects for our London and New York based investment bank clients, whilst having a much more pleasant journey to work and fast access to some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain.
Outside of the office there is a good range of social activities. The running club caters for those who enjoy a little exercise at lunch time or the odd race, and a Scott Logic boat won first prize in the Durham all-comers rowing regatta last year. For the less sporty, you’ll usually find many of us in the local pub on a Friday night.
