Upon leaving University, I wanted to find a company within which I could expand and develop my skills. Scott Logic provides this opportunity, and more. My job as a graduate developer allows me to tackle a variety of challenges using a wealth of technologies within a small but effective team of like-minded individuals. I’m really enjoying being a part of Scott Logic and can’t imagine being anywhere else.

Scott Logic was a great choice for my first job after university; the atmosphere is friendly and I’ve been given interesting projects to work on. I’m part of a professional team and occasionally end up programming in pairs, which is fun and great for ensuring we write reliable code. The social side of the company has impressed my family and friends; squash matches at lunch time are a great way to break up the week. I’ve enjoyed my first few months here and look forward to learning more about the financial sector as I move through different projects.

Having come from a non-computing background and only having experience in Java, I assumed I would start on a (not so interesting) Java project, but from week 1, I began developing for the iPad. Scott Logic provides an excellent opportunity to learn about modern technologies that would otherwise be difficult to pick up in the absence of experts. There is a really friendly atmosphere in the office which makes the graduate programme that much more enjoyable.

Since starting at Scott Logic I’ve had the chance to work on interesting projects using new technologies, and between the training I’ve received and help provided by the experienced developers here my knowledge and abilities as a developer have grown considerably. Scott Logic has been a great place for me to start my career, and I look forward to further expanding my knowledge and skill as a developer here.

Working at Scott Logic as a Graduate Developer has been a great experience. The level of technical expertise on display within the company has meant that I am constantly challenged to improve as a developer. There is a friendly environment where colleagues are always willing to help out and share their technical knowledge with you.
