Fantasy trading was the aim of the game as Scott Logic showcased Dead Cat Bounce at the Dealing With Technology conference on 14 May. Delegates were given £100,000 of fantasy money to try their luck against the stock markets, build the best portfolio and win an iPod Nano.
The race to be top trader was fiercely contested. The morning’s falling market kept the majority in the red but with improving conditions in the afternoon, it was a close competition to stay top of the leaderboard.
By end of play, more than a third of the traders had made a profit with Chris Parker of Nomura International PLC scooping first place, achieving the highest value portfolio of the day.
Sami Kassab of Exane BNP Paribas came second, Mark Clare of UBS, Sasho Markov from Lehman Bros was in third place and Narendra Mistry of LandesBank Berlin took fourth position.
Scott Logic and Dead Cat Bounce will be back at the IDX conference on 10-11 June at The Brewery. So please come and visit us if you think you can take poll position!
