Newcastle-based software company Scott Logic, sponsor of Durham County Cricket's Graham Onions, is delighted at the announcement of the young fast bowler's call-up to the England squad. He was included for the one-day tests against Pakistan, and is a member of the Academy squad for the Ashes test to be played in Australia this November.

Scott Logic first began sponsoring the Gateshead-born player in April 2006 - when Onions was a development player regarded as having a promising future in the game, and whose ambition was to cement a regular place in Durham's first team. However, great success and international recognition have come a lot sooner than may have been anticipated. Onions ended the season as Durham's top wicket-taker, and was awarded Best Bowler and Best Young Player accolades by the club.

His most spectacular achievement came against Middlesex when he took 5 wickets for only 45 runs, and it was this performance that brought him to the notice of the England selectors. Scott Logic is extremely proud to be the sponsor of one of English county cricket's brightest young stars.
